Great wine selection at Musque - stopped by for an appetizer before dinner and thought it was good value for what we received on our platter we ordered. Would go again!

I admit we chose to visit “Musque Food and Wine” solely on its looks, which directly followed a decision not to visit “The Clubhouse” (where we had been dropped off by our accommodation)… again based solely on its looks.

We were warmly greeted and offered a high table on the side wall, it was then explained that it was a tapas type restaurant where multiple dishes were shared. As we had experienced a similar concept in Adelaide, and partly due to the cost of the dishes, we simply ordered two, arrancini balls and a steak, with a side order of fries.
Due to the tapas nature of the meal, we had almost finished the first when the second arrived. Both dishes were excellent and with the chips were sufficient.

The staff were very warm, friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a modern, but relaxed restaurant, at a reasonable price (if you don’t order too many dishes), Musque Food and Wine is worth a visit.

Stylish and central restaurant. Delicious veggie dishes and well constructed sharing plates. Was open Sunday evening which was a god send for us as lots of other restaurants were closed.

Had a lovely impromptu dinner...2 people, we shared 3 plates which was plenty...Grilled Zucchini, chickpeas, roasted shallots, preserved lemon & Mint, Shaved selection of meats from Boston Bay smallgoods, with cornichons, mustard & housemade sourdough, and Pancetta & Mozzarella croquettes, smoked paprika aioli and onion jam.
The pâté was INCREDIBLE! Service was attentive and timely. Nice atmosphere.

I was excited to be going to Musque for dinner recently as I'd heard some great reviews. Although I had a good time and enjoyed the food and company it didn't meet my expectations in a number of areas. It took a long while for the drinks to arrive and upon asking they had forgotten about them, the Main of pork belly salad was fine, a good portion size and not expensive. The dessert was very uninspired though, a platter of the chefs selection of sweets which looked like they were plonked on the platter with fresh strawberries that were not quite ripe, run of the mill truffles and melting moments, the dish could've been jazzed up with a bit of love with perhaps some fresh cream, sauce or edible flowers.
While it was a busy night, the staff seemed to cope quite well and were friendly and efficient.
Being the middle of summer, better air conditioning would have been appreciated. Overall the atmosphere was very nice but it was extremely noisy which made conversation difficult.
