I ate at the bar on a Thursday night prime time. The restaurant was full in the dining room and at high tops in the bar. Great short rib and decent pour for drinks. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

We dined twice at The Hotel Tavern. For our first visit, It was recommended to us by locals on our first night in town. Very busy on a Tuesday evening so we sat at the bar. Our waitress was ok but didn’t do anything extra. Our meals of the shrimp Alfredo and Beef sandwich were both very good. We decided then to later bring the family. Our next visit was with two more adults and two children. Our waiter was new but he was efficient and enthusiastic. It was a Saturday evening and we had a 30 minute wait and sat outside. Everyone was very pleased with their meals from Shrimp Cocktail to large salad to beef sandwich tin dinner special. It was a great dinner with excellent service.

Service was not what you would expect it to be. We came to the conclusion that our server must have been the waitress, the bar tender and the cook. Steaks were kind of chewy. No bread or crackers served with salad or meal. Had to wait to get the bill so we could pay and leave.

Today was our second time eating lunch there, we ordered something different both times and was very satisfied with the food plus the waitress was always checking on us. Needless to say we will be back and try another dish.

We stopped at the Tavern on our way into town for our vacation. Outside dining area cute. Drinks and food were good. Friendly wait staff.
