I had visited this hotel for 2 nights from 27th December to 29th December 2014. We had booked 8 double rooms for our big group of Family and Friends.
The misery started from check in. Even though our bookings were made almost 2 months in advance our rooms were not ready when we reached the hotel. This for me is completely unacceptable. How could you not have rooms ready for your guests when you already are aware of their arrival? After waiting for almost 2 hrs we finally got our rooms.
One of the rooms did not have towels, soap, shampoo etc..we had to call housekeeping and wait for 30 minutes to get these items. We had called for Ice and was told that the hotel does not have ice!!??? What kind of hotel does not have ICE? After making a fuss and giving a decent tip to the room service guys we suddenly had a continuous flow of ice. Ordering anything from room service is dreadful. The time your food or drinks get to your room the need or requirement for it is long gone.
The worst of all was the unprofessionalism of the restaurant manager on Duty on 29th December afternoon. As the restaurant was empty we had taken our seat on a spacious table for lunch and already started eating when the restaurant manager interrupted us and requested to move as the table was reserved (mind you there was no reserve sign on the table) however the previous day for lunch there was some private corporate event at the hotel and the guests from that event had taken seat at our table for lunch, even though our table was reserved and the name of my family member was already placed on the reserved sign, when we highlighted this to the restaurant manager they barely gave any notice to the same.
To add on , the uncleanliness of the restaurant staff is atrocious. Their uniforms were so dirty it put us off from even having the water they served. Not to sound arrogant but there has to be some sort of cleanliness when you are interfacing a customer, especially at a restaurant.
The only saving grace for this hotel was its food. The food was good, but would be much better with a wider variety.
Overall the hotels staff needs to be changed ASAP, starting from the front desk , room service, housekeeping to restaurant staff…. We had on many occasions heard nasty comments the staff were making about the guests behind their backs and it really just put us off about this place.
Myself and the rest of my family would definitely not go to this hotel, nor recommend it to anyone.
