We have been to golden sands Bulgaria for many years including this year. And once again it's been brilliant. Made extra special by the staff at the ambassador restaurant which is located near the shipka hotel.
There so polite and so welcoming. The food can only be described as superb.and the entertainment is really good and sing in a multitude of languages. So everyone's happy.all in all a must place to visit.

Pros: near the seaside (3 min walk), near all sorts of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, good distance from the clubs, great view, welcoming receptionists, big pool, ok-ish breakfast, the restaurant by the pool has excellent food(we tried the grilled pork mix and some salad) with decent prices

Cons: lazy house-cleaners (7 nights stay, they only changed our bed sheets and towels on our 6th day; no new soaps), they don't have a hairdryer and you have to ask for one at the reception and bring it back asap because they have only 3 for the whole hotel, the walls are really thin and you can hear every moan, laughter, fight or drunk people around you, no on/off switch for the balcony light (it goes on at about 9pm and stays like that for like an hour, then u have no possibility of turning it on again if you need it), it doesn't have a twin bed(in the double room), it only has 2 beds that you have to move together. they offer only paid wifi (20 leva=10 euro for 7 days) but they told us the quality isn't so great so we didn't get one, but all the restaurants/bars around have wifi and you can login there.

if you choose sea-view get a higher floor, if you'll get a room on the first floor your view will be of the trees and not the sea (which is a good thing because you won't be that hot when you enjoy your stay on the balcony).

Clean rooms
Breakfast is a 3star breakfast not more but fine
Near to beach
Also have sea view rooms
Pool is fine
Golden sands is a really beautiful place so you don't have to lose your time staying at the hotel
I think a hotel like this is enough you can use your money in other cases ✌️

You get what you pay for - a hotel close to the beach (2min) with beautiful seaside view.
Clean but old, worn off. Food is average, good to loose some weight and live of fruit and vegis from the buffet... Staff at first bit harsh, but give them a big smile and brighten their hard day a bit and they quickly warm up..

Loads of russian guests, but u get used to them ;-)
