Last week my wife and I ventured through the thick smoke to the famed Naramata Bench. We went for a friend's 50th birthday, to hang out on the lake, and to do some wine tasting. We were delighted with the guest house. Our group had the entire house booked - a large upper floor with a huge kitchen, dining room, living room area and washroom. There is a master suite upstairs, and 5 separate suites down. Each have a full bathroom, mini-fridge, coffee maker, fireplace, TV, etc. The rooms are tastefully appointed and comfortable.
The view from the large deck is beautiful, even in the smoke. Manicured vineyards in every direction, and the lake just down the hill. We were pleasantly surprised one morning to see a mother brown bear and her two cubs wander through the yard.
There is a large hot tub on the deck that we used, and a BBQ (unfortunately a few burners are toast) on the deck as well.
This is a perfect location to travel to and from the lake, or to begin or end your winery tours. We brought our bikes thinking that we would responsibly wheel from vineyard to vineyard, but they're fairly spaced apart, the roads are narrow and windy, and the hills! Oh the hills. We drove.
Loved our stay, would do it again!More
