Just returned from a 3 day stay at Ingonish Chalets with another couple. From the speedy, friendly service at check in , to the extremely clean chalet, this place rates number one. The staff are extremely helpful, and the beach is phenomenal!

And that's a good cozy. It was drizzly and grey during our stay and cabin was easily kept warm. Electric fireplace added a nice warm glow and no mess. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin. Clean, bathroom immaculate and very nice. Comfortable beds and linens. Would have preferred queen beds over doubles. Kitchen nothing fancy but had the basics. Nice porch with a grill. Would love to come back with the grandkids.
Several good restaurants in the area and a well stocked grocery nearby.
Hope to return for a warm sunny stay.

They do themselves a bit of a disservice in describing their rooms as "motel suites". These rooms are appreciably nicer than the word "motel" usually suggests.

Very high ceilings, all-wood interior finishes. No A/C (but it's usually quite cool at night anyway). No kitchen, but has a coffeemaker, utensils and dishes--and a gas barbecue.

Free wifi works well.

Small playground (sandbox, slide, swings) on site.

Breakfast not included, but the Bean Barn Cafe is a couple minutes' walk away - or an even shorter drive - and quite good.

Proprietor seems like a nice guy.

We stayed one evening while traveling through on the Cabot Trail and we were impressed - there were four adults and one infant, and they placed a crib into the room for us for our little guy which unfortunately was a real struggle to put together. Everything else about the place was impressive. Well-appointed kitchen with all of the amenities to be able to cook and prepare meals, and a BBQ out in the front. Spacious rooms, reasonably comfortable queen beds as well, and a spacious bathroom. Easy to find off the main street. WiFi was *very good*, the best that we've had so far on the trip. It was nearly $200 for one evening, so not cheap, but we were happy with what we got for the price. Recommended.

Wonderful spot. We occupied 3 chalets and all were well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful. Close to the great Bean Barn Cafe and gorgeous beaches. Great wifi connection. Some of us stayed in the hotel type rooms as well and no complaints there either. Great decks for sipping wine and relaxing.
