We spent one night in Mahone Bay, at Bayview. It's a big old farmhouse on a hill; we stayed in one of the larger rooms in the barn, with a spectacular view of a cove. Bayview is about six miles out of town along a waterfront road that's perfect for bicycling--not too hilly, not much traffic, gorgeous views around every corner. Bed was comfortable, breakfast delightful, the innkeepers friendly. Be warned: the water is pretty terrible. But they have good water in jugs for the Keurigs in the hallways, so the morning coffee is still good!

First visit to a bed and breakfast - we enjoyed it very much. Joanna is very welcoming. The location was so beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the homemade strawberry jam and the cranberry juice from a local farm. Joanna gave us directions so we could visit the cranberry farm and buy some juice and cranberries to take home.

The room was cute and so inviting. There is no air conditioning but with a fan provided and the breeze blowing in the open windows we were very comfortable. The bath products provided were also very good. There is also a one cup Kreurig machine with k cups in each room. A refrigerator is also available is you need one. We bought salads and ate at the picnic table overlooking the water - so the frig came in handy.

Highly recommend staying here when you visit Mahone Bay.

So glad you enjoyed your first B & B experience...the first of many I hope.
The Terra Beata products are great and pleased you visited them and had some to take home with you.
Kind regards, Joanna

We stayed at the Bayview Pines for two nights with our two adult children during our vacation to Nova Scotia. It was a wonderful place to stay while seeing the sights in Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. We rented the three rooms in the main house, the Teazer room, the Bluenose room and Katie's room. It was perfect for our family as the rooms all share the same landing and there is a small parlor downstairs where we could congregate without interrupting the other guestsThe property sits up on a hill with an amazing view of the bay and plenty of lawn to play on outside.
The innkeepers, Chris and Joanna Grimley, were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly and most gracious to us and the breakfasts were outstanding! They even flew the Stars and Stripes for us on the forth of July!
I would love to return to this property upon future visits to the area and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect Nova Scotia experience.

Room Tip: We loved the room in the farmhouse very charming

We stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The ocean views are wonderful and the Inn is so quiet and peaceful.
Little touches of comfort and quality are everywhere. Cushy mats by the bed, soft blankets, quality bodywash, Keurig coffee downstairs, pansies and flowers to greet you. Each room also has their own bathroom. We stayed in the Bluenose En-suite room furnished with pics of the Bluenose. We also went to Lunenburg during our stay and went aboard the Bluenose- a special treat!
The owners Joanne and Chris are very friendly and warm and give great advice about what to do in the area. They also cook a wonderful breakfast - We had blueberry pancakes on day and poached eggs another, with a yogurt, fruit appetizer! We highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the South Shore area.
The only thing I didn't like was the gravel walkway leading to the main Inn. It is impossible to wheel your suitcase on it as well as difficult to walk on.

Room Tip: The Bluenose Room is great!
