Every time we go to Prince Edward Island, we try to stay at North Winds! The Northwinds is a family run hotel, that serves good breakfast and is close to the beaches. It is about a 20 minute drive to Charlotte town and about a 40 minute drive to gateway village! There are quite a few nice restaurants very close to the hotel as well. The hotel is always very clean and has a nice walking trail that circles around the hotel as well as a pool.

North Winds is situated in a rural setting, I have got to say that I was a little worried about being disappointed in this motel but that quickly faded. It is a clean comfortable motel, the owner is very involved. The rooms were comfortable and I got the feeling that the owners would do anything to see that you had a good stay.We stayed for two nights, its quiet and they serve up a hearty breakfast.Bear in mind that this is not a hotel..it is a motel and a good one!

Very nice clean hotel. Some rooms have back bedroom. All have kitchenettes. The office offers snacks and some grocery products. The breakfast was continental for us but we had a very large group. There is a nice walking trail around the property.

Family owned hotel, clean, not fancy, but beautiful country lodging. Washer and dryer was a plus. Clean, beds were good, s country inn of sorts. Traveling through countrysides, you know not to expect a modern hotel. My only thought, they need to have diet drinks available. Not everyone can drink soda with sugar. Would return again, if in the area.

Room Tip: had no problems with traffic, nice owners

We had a large room which was very nice. This is in a small town on Prince Edward Island, but is very nice. We stayed here for 2 days while traveling with the tour group from Caravan Tours. The breakfasts were very good with assortments of breakfast items to meet every need.

Room Tip: Rooms near the end of the individual wings afforded the best views of the countryside.
