We did a day trip from San Diego, visiting 3 wineries in the Valle, this was our first and favorite. Wine preference is very personal, but our group of 6 all felt this wine to be excellent and unique. We tasted 4 wines Sauvignon blanc, rose, meritage and cab franc. I would have easily purchased a case if I could. They don’t yet ship to US. My only regret was not buying wine here to walk back over the border with...it was our first of 3 stops and thought there might be better later...I was mistaken. The cheese and meat plate was excellent, as was the olive oils and chocolate. Beautiful space and surrounding land with good service.

Our tour guide Victor took us to Vina de Frannes and we were delighted to meet a young man named Carlos who invited us to find a table outside (in the sun) and he would serve us their wonderful wine. He was young, handsome, knowledgeable, and simply a delight to talk to about their wine. Everything was perfect. Do give them a try. Also a beautiful building.

Stopped by Frannes Winery for a quick bite and some unique wine experience. The setting is extremely serene, perfect spot for conversation, wine tasting and the marlin tacos! This should be a stop on everyone's wine tour of this gem of a wine valley.
