The posada has so much going for it, e.g., immaculate, spacious rooms, a pool, a shady jardin, a fairly convenient location, stylish decor straight out of Architectural Digest, and of course, it is a good value.
What sets this hotel apart, though, is the wonderful manger, Gabriel. He is probably the best small-hotel manger we have ever encountered, and we are world travelers. Gabriel has a wealth of knowledge about not just the local area, but all of Yucatan state. He was able to give us accurate information regarding the tolls on 180D, opening times, restaurant recommendations, and the list goes on. He has a very positive attitude and will do whatever it takes you make you a satisfied guest.
Our first room (#1) was a little too noisy for us being next to the street, so he arranged to move us to a quieter room on the second floor. We are so grateful; muchas gracias Gabriel!
While staying here be sure to also take advantage of their new coffee shop, "La Esquina," (the corner); it is very stylish and would not be out of place in any large American city. The staff is very friendly and polite, just like the rest of the hotel staff.
We looked at other hotels in Valladolid just for comparison and we are convinced beyond a doubt that we made the best choice. This is THE best hotel in the town.
