Very happy with the room. Friendly welcome. Just what we needed. Very clean room. Great location as you have lots of food outlets. Room overlooked the seating area. You forgot you were staying at a service station.

We were happy with the room and location of the hotel and at a great rate. It was clean and sufficient. The shower was hot and powerful.
We stayed here because it was the cheapest hotel closest to our meal at the crazy bear in town.

An excellent find amongst the hotels around - a lot cheaper!! OK the room itself is basic and modular plastic - double with bunk overhead, individual toilet, shower and basin (with towels). TV and free internet. Staff very friendly. But for a service area very quiet (could hear the dawn chorus!).
And it is all enhanced by probably the best Services area that I know of. That in itself is worth a stop. The place was buzzing. Plenty of food choices.
Breakfast with 20% discount through hotel - again one of the best full English.
Do remember to get a car park ticket from the hotel - otherwise it is 30 pounds....

Last time I stayed here it was an Etap (so some years ago), but I stayed here again last week (April 2018). It's definitely improved since the re-brand to Ibis Budget. Room was warm, quiet and comfortable, and there's plenty of food options in the service area next door.
Free car parking too, which isn't always possible this close to London.
Check in staff were great, polite and attentive.
Recommended.

Booked this hotel after a very busy day at a theme park and this hotel is on the route home. Called in advance as was going to arrive after 10pm. Check in very quick and staff very friendly. Even though this is in the service area for the M40 you wouldn’t know you are next to a busy motorway. The hotel provide a parking ticket to display in your car as there are generally time restrictions in service areas. Hotel has a nice reception area with snacks, hot and cold drinks available which can be purchased via reception and the hotel is connected to Wetherspoons and the main service area which has a wide range of food and drinks outlets including a 24 hour McDonalds. We booked a family room which was quite novel as the child’s bed was over the double bed - this was fine just took a bit of getting used to. The child’s bed wasn’t made which was quite awkward - had to stand on the double bed with my daughter on the single bed trying to tuck the sheets in. The rooms are on the small side but equipped with a tv, shower, wash area and toilet, but all clean and well maintained. The addition of tea and coffee in the room would have made this hotel perfect. Overall had a good night sleep and had breakfast in Wetherspoons. For the price and convenience of this hotel it is great.
