Visited for dinner and drinks, returned the following two nights. I am celiac and had many options, which is highly unusual. Staff are great, gin selection is extensive. Pool, table football and a friendly cosy atmosphere. I rarely ever remember to write positive reviews but this experience was outstanding.

Lovely little pub, really pleasant and the staff were really helpful - we ended up having to come down off Scafell a different way to that which we had intended, leaving us miles away from our car. The staff at the pub couldn't have been more helpful, showing us where we were on their map and allowing us to use the phone to ring for a taxi. As an added bonus, the two real ales we tried were both superb.

Had a great lunch here. Staff accommodated 25 of us and even inked us up from where we were staying so everybody could drink. Food was excellent ver reasonably priced and Wookiee the retriever was gorgeous

The bedrooms were ok and all facilities present. Staff very friendly. Food average but whole experience ruined by a lingering smell of cooking fats. Poor breakfast with microwaved scrambled egg. Setting of the Inn beautiful

Twice in the last week a welcome real ale sanctuary in Eskdale has been the Woolpack.Fine real ales, modern interior decoration and roaring fires make the ambience extremely welcoming.A fell walking acquaintance was staying at the pub and strongly recommend to us.One to try in the future
