Lovely service, not just by staff, by locals in the bar too... As we used the entrance from the rear car park, local 'lads' directed us to where we needed to check in... Carrying one of our cases round too...
Shown to our twin room with en-suite... Some may call the decor dated, I'd say in fitting with its surroundings... Everything you need all in one place... Kettle, hairdryer, fan, tv, etc...

We went down for dinner on our first night (last night) Bought a bottle of wine whilst perusing the menu, ordered our steaks, to be told as its Friday & Steak Night we were each to have a large glass of wine extra to go along with our meals!!!

Good nights sleep, comfy beds, little noise from the bar downstairs and traffic outside, but we knew of its location upon booking... Very much what you may call 'a local pub, for local people' however, not clicky, rather very friendly... A lovely pair of gentlemen giving up their table for us to eat, so as not to be alone in the dining area, so lovely!!!

Great informative staff, full of added information we hadn't actually thought of... Booking a taxi ahead of time for our arrival back this evening, asking for a 'late key', car park information, pass code for the security barrier...

Massive cooked breakfast, unlimited juice, tea, coffee & cereal & fruit...

So far, loving this lovely quaint hotel...

Staff were so accommodating as arriving late after a wedding, took cases the day before and and given a night key. No hassles very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful breakfast and helped arrange taxis.Could not have been better. Many thanks.

Room Tip: We had stairs to our room but no problem. Quiet room at back of hotel.

We stayed at the Cross keys on route to a wedding We had heard of the hotel before but never visited. The hotel has ample parking and a good stopping point for visiting the area. The rooms are nice and compact but our room had a fantastic en suite.
If we had one critisism it was a tad too warm in the room and the corridors were a little bit narrow
The bar is a stream of real beers could have sat up all night sampling. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast is very good
One thing though if you intend to book a taxi you need to book it well in advance the hotel will give you the number

Room Tip: The hotel is on a junction but traffic noise is minimal until about 7 am

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the visit. Food was good Traditional fare and excellent value and the bar was well populated with locals which is always a good sign. Room was comfortable but a little cramped. Breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear quieter

First of all I was anxious to stop here after some of the reviews on this site, but having stopped there for 5 nights, here's my honest review. The overall furnishings would benefit from a refurb, however the whole hotel is very very clean, everything in the rooms worked as it should. I had a twin room, the shower pressure was poor with no bath available. Hot room with wall fan provided, small led tv and clock radio, tea and coffee supplied. The staff are all very efficient and friendly, a specially Lidia behind the bar, always had a smile with a chat, for the price per room , I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Front has noisy traffic
