Have stayed here a few times, last being Friday 25th November. Its a family run hotel, always friendly, staff and owners always make guests welcome. Food is homemade and very very good, wouldn't stay anywhere else. It has a bar, free wifi in rooms and separate dining room. Its a short walk into town.

Stayed at this hotel before, but really well located for our needs. We had a short weekend break. Its a very friendly hotel making you feel at home. just on the edge of town. Free WiFi and a good bar. There are tea/coffee making in room and ensuite. Good wholesome breakfasts and meals can be provided. Hosts really try to help in every way.

Had a great stay, very friendly staff and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and well kept. We enjoyed the food that we had in the hotel. Overall lovely stay would recommend it. Short walk to local pubs and restaurants. Short drive to the lakes.

I came here with some friends a couple of months ago and can say we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners of the hotel were extremely welcoming and so helpful, they showed us all the best places to eat and where to go for walks, they made the experience fantastic! The rooms were really nice and clean and very comfortable, great to come back to after an amazing steak from the restaurant down the road. We all had a fab time and are already booking another weekend here again for next year! Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel as we were attending a wedding nearby. The room was spacious with plenty of storage and a sofa. The bathroom was large with a bath and shower over the bath. All very clean.
The photos don't do the hotel justice, it appears that they have updated areas but no new photos on the website.
The bar area where the meals are served is a welcoming clean area with Sky tv, again it looks better in real life. We had a good meal, I had chicken kebab and my husband had lamb shank. Great portions. I had sticky toffee pud and husband the crumble, both lovely. Our room had just had a new carpet fitted and the Sky box was affected. I was asked if Sue( the owner) husband could go in and adjust it. When he came back he mentioned he had spotted our Prosecco and offered to put it in the fridge, fab gesture, all chilled by the time we had finished our meal.
The breakfast was hot and well cooked, good portions. Sue offered to take us to the wedding reception so we could leave the car. We took her up on the offer and very grateful to her.
Nothing seems to be a trouble and all the staff go out of their way to look after you. We spoke to a young lad who stays there when working in the area, he said he had stayed at loads of hotels and that was the best.
If I had reason to be over in that area again I would certainly stay there.Thankyou again to you all
