We went to the Royal Yew on 21 April with our three grown up sons. Two sons had the steak night special which includes a bottle of wine and two 8oz steaks with chips and salad, the other son had burger and chips, my husband had the flying Scotsman which is chicken breasts filled with haggis and I had sea bass. Everything we ordered was perfect, fresh and came with real chips!! The staff were all lovely, chatty and friendly and made us feel welcome from we walked in the door.
We will definitely be back.
Well done to all staff, this is a lovely country pub with very good food and a happy atmosphere.

Thank Sharon F

Visited for father in laws 60th birthday with a group of 10. Found that the choice of vegetarian options was poor but the chef happily modified one of the dishes for me. Food didn't live up to expectation when it arrived though, it was nice but over seasoned and just a bit 'meh'.

Good food, friendly staff, fantastic location. Well worth a visit here.

Food was obviously freshly prepared and the chips were real (twice cooked).
