The hotel and hence restaurant is under new ownership, so we thought we would try it out.

The food was OK. and reasonably priced considering what we ordered.

However, looking back at the whole experience this meal could have been a whole lot better. Sadly the restaurant still lacks atmosphere, and the decor is dull and unappealing. Table clothes would be an improvement and much better than the bare 'formica table tops'. The servers were friendly and pleasant but not very efficient or attentive; had to wait some time for our drinks to arrive and our table to be cleared. There is plenty that the hotel/restaurant could work on that would make the entire dining experience so much better

Exceptional lunch for Mother's Day. Been there many times. Food is divine. The triple chocolate mousse today was outstanding. Excellent service - attentive but unobtrusive- not an easy balance to achieve. And reasonable prices, all in lovely spacious surroundings. Very impressed.

Having vowed not to go back heard been taken over by Crown Plaza so gave it another chance for double birthday family group Sunday meal.food was much better and hot the service was appalling. On arrival were told main fish dish was off and advised not to have fish starter either and pulled a face. Drinks order next but got called away and no one came back for 20 mins to take food so they took drinks waited another ten mins for food order. starters supposed to have Melba toast came with nothing until asked then some arrived although most had almost consumed their starter. More waiting. No one asked about more drinks. More waiting finally main meal however order was wrong and female serving had the audacity to say it was our fault. How can you get 3 chicken and 5 pork wrong. A child's meal was inedible it was too stodgy and spicy. Desert order was also wrong 2 adult chocolate brownie sundaes and 1 child's became 2 child's and 1 adult. We complained and got money off but it ruined the day

Part of a Spa Day. Food was very good, service excellent. It should be noted that only two courses are provided as part of the Spa day. Drinks and dessert are charged on top.
