This park has potential. There are lovely grassed areas (not lake front) dogs are aloud and there are lots of activities which you can do with the children - hire water sports equipment and they are making a water park, due for for completion summer 2017/18. The office people came across rude and abrupt. They also don't have a lot of bins so you will have to hunt to find one.

This property is dated. Owners don't seem to bother to maintain it well.

The cushion covers on the chairs are torn and housekeeping did nothing

We were shocked that the kettle is so stained. We understand it's due to the water in the region but kettles are so cheap nowadays.

On one morning a gentleman gave me the password for wifi and I asked how long it will be valid. He said there is no expiry. And there was no charge.
In the evening the password did work. I went to the reception and a lady told me I have to buy a voucher. It costs $3 for 3 hours
Complimentary wifi is essential nowadays

If you want a great economic chill-out, this is the place to go. Room overlooked the lake and was within reasonable walking distance of the town. The rooms are tired, but have all you need for a few days stay. There are enough bakeries and eating places to allow for variety in your meals despite having no on-site restaurant.

Great outlook over Lake Bonney and well priced at $115 for the night.

Good value

The place does need an update but it’s quiet , clean and the air conditioner works - it was a little noisy until I worked out how to turn the fan down .

There’s a pool - a bit cold for me but clean and people were using it .

Barmera Hotel is within walking distance and has great food and drinks .

I'm not sure how this establishment qualifies as a " country club" or " resort "
This is an old & run down motel circa , 1960.....which is sadly in need of a refurb.
The plus side is that the rooms are large.... & in a good location looking at Lake Bonney
The bed is old & hard. The pillows equally aged... The linen is stained.....
The carpet is old, worn & stained ...badly needs replacement .
The air conditioner is ancient & so noisy we had no choice but to turn it off.. Luckily there was a security screen in the sliding door, which we were able to leave partially open during the night ( for air )
To be fair, there has been an effort to update the bathroom, with installation of a Tastic light , but the showers floor was slimy underfoot. ( needed thongs ) , & the hand basin is tiny .... Typical of the 50's style .... Barely any room to place anything in the bathroom... Like toothpaste etc It bugs me when you can't fill the kettle under the tap , because there is no room in the sink .... They did have rainwater tanks located outside 2 rooms' where drinking water could be obtained ... Not so convenient when you are already undressed .
This is a very economically priced establishment , so no luxury expected , but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired .
