We stayed here on the first leg of a family camping trip. The biggest deal breaker was the toilets. They are basically glorified porta-potties and had tons of flies. My wife and daughter were not having it. Other than that it was okay for tent camping. The staff was nice. They have a good camp store. The mini golf would have been $16 which is a little steep. Loved the Mail Pouch painted barn. Our GPS had us enter the park from an unmarked gravel road which was confusing but we found it ok.

Spent Memorial Day weekend here. Nice big sites with lots of trees. Pets welcome including horses. Great lake for swimming, boating, and/or fishing. Cute little beach area as well. Would highly recommend this state park.

Barkcamp is a nice park with a decent lake. Large beach area and nice picnic area. Great parking and great campground. The campground doesn't have a pool. There is a shower house, but the toilets do not use running water so the privacy and smell aren't pleasant.

We asked for and got a nice quiet site (#125 up on a hill a bit away from the parking area). We had few neighbors. The park was not full for a Saturday night in August. The sites all appeared spacious. This was a one night only stop for us but there appeared to be a lot of amenities and we have put this place on our must return list! Nice clean showers.
