“A fantastic museum. We spent hours there and didn't begin to see it all.”

The Cleveland Museum of Art is free to all due to the original benefactor. When you see the breadth of their collection you really appreciate it is free and open to all. The building itself is just beautiful and they are in the process of improving and expanding.

“Rembrant Exhibit”

Very interesting exhibit on original Rembrants and work from his studio and students. Audio tour very informative. Cost at $14 a little steep but overall worth the visit.

“A nice, comprehensive collection.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2012

A great little museum that mimics some of the larger museums around the world. Has a nice sampling of most of the popular forms of art one would see at a larger museum. If you're in town, it's definitely something to put on the list.

“Love the fascade”

Who would expect to see Greek columns in Cleveland? The Art museum has them and the knights in armor display is very interesting. Check out for special displays.

“Great winter day activity. Cant beat the admission price..free!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2012

Drove up from Columbus and went to the museum on a Sunday. We were happy to find that they opened at 10 am, considering many museums open at noon on that day. The admission price is free for the general collection and there is a fee for special shows. On the day we went, it was Rembrandt. The general collection is rather extensive and there is a good mix from ancient art to modern. Coat check was free and very convenient, considering it was cold and snowy outside. There were a lot of staff on hand to answer questions. The only complaint we had was the somewhat confusing layout of the museum. You had to go downstairs initially, to get back up into the regular collection. Perhaps better signage would be helpful. Overal though, a nice day.
