When the employees are wearing t-shirts that say "got pierogies?" then you know what you need to order.
This is a family-owned Polish restaurant that looks and feels like it's been around for half a century. It's not fancy, and the food is served cafeteria-style. On the night we went the place was hopping (apparently it generally is). There was a line but it moved fairly quickly and we waited less than 15 minutes before getting to the food.
Nicknacks and mementoes cover every inch of wall surface space.
I had the grilled walleye (cooked perfectly to order and brought to our table) and my wife had the stuffed cabbage (the shape and nearly the size of a football). Both of us had sides of perogies and other sides and salads. Everything was delicious.
