We were there for a conference and had chosen this hotel as being closest to the conference venue. I was pleasantly surprised--actually, overwhelmed!-- by the level of care and comfort provided by this hotel. The room was very large, beautifully appointed, very comfortable bed, nice chairs. Unending supply of Keurig cups, of good quality coffee, for the coffeemaker. The restaurant was excellent, was very reasonably priced for the high quality and had a great selection. Anything you asked for was provided cheerfully and instantly by the front desk staff. The hotel is connected to the school of hospitality at OSU, and the student interns were so accommodating. There was even a night light in the bathroom: someone really put a lot of thought into every detail to keep guests happy. One of the very nicest hotels we've ever stayed in.

I stayed at the Blackwell for a conference I was attending on the OSU campus. I have nothing but positive things to stay about the facilities and the staff. They offer a free shuttle from the Columbus airport (a savings of $30 each way). The front desk people are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are sizable, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The hotel is right at the edge of the OSU campus, making it super convenient for on-campus meetings/events. Downtown Columbus, the Short North, and the German Village are all a short Lyft ride away. I absolutely recommend this hotel for your OSU visits.

We stayed at the Blackwell while attending a show at the Schottenstein Center. It was slightly pricier than the other options we considered, but ultimately worth the extra cost because of the location and amenities. We stayed in a deluxe room with two queen beds, with a fabulous view of Ohio Stadium. (I can't imagine the cost of this room during football season.) Since we were just a short walk from the
Schott, we were able to skip event parking and traffic altogether, which in my opinion made up for the difference in the room cost. The room was very clean and luxurious. The beds were very comfortable. There was a refrigerator and a Keurig coffeemaker in the room. The only slight disappointment was that there are no vending machines: rather, there is a small selection of snacks and drinks at the hotel shop located next to the front desk, which more than amply met our needs. The hotel shop also offers several OSU souvenirs. We opted for the breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant in the morning, which was excellent. Somehow I had missed this little gem before, but I will definitely try to stay here next time I'm going headed anywhere near campus!

Room Tip: If you're an OSU fan, ask for a room facing the stadium!

The Blackwell was a very nice hotel. I will consider going back to it even though it was at the very top of our budget. The bathroom in the room was my favorite part. It was spacious and very nice. They had a nice bar and friendly staff.

It was our first stay at The Blackwell as we were visiting the downtown area for a concert. The location is amazing to so many things, walkable to several restaurants and activities. If you don't feel like walking the hotel offers a car service that will drop off/pick up at locations in a 3-4 mile distance which was a very nice perk! When we arrived we decided to valet ($18) and was met with remarkable service from the valet team. We were immediately checked in and went to our room which was very nice. We were on the 5th floor in a lovely room with a view of campus. We had a King size bed in a very spacious room with a lovely bathroom. Everything was neat and clean. The bed linens were some of the best that I have ever slept on in a hotel. The towels were nice and fluffy as well with nice amenities in the bathroom. There was a mini fridge along with a coffee maker for use as well. We will 100% return to The Blackwell when visiting downtown!
