AFTER booking on expedia charged additional suprise fee of $50 didn't clean room, breakfast never ready on time and this is the kicker i was scammed out of $700 worth of charges stemming from "this area" (i traveled from another city) after this business trip and the hotel was the only place I used my credit card to pay that $50 surprise fee. SCAMMERS
I booked two rooms for October 6-8, one for my family and one for my brother's family. We got there when check in started and things went OK but since my brother's family wasn't there yet the person checking us in asked if we wanted to let them check in separately. We were going to explore so we said yes my brother would be in later to check in. My brother met us for a late dinner and didn't go to check in until afterwards. When he went to check in the woman at the desk said they were fully booked. I explained that we already had a reservation. She told us they overbooked the hotel so there was no room available. She was not apologetic or offered to try and make some type of compensation. We booked the rooms through booking.com and they were also no help. They did not offer any type of compensation.
The hotel itself is very run down and in need of a face-lift. The pictures online are probably several years old. I have included pictures I took.
Overall, it was very disappointing I would not recommend the hotel at all.
relatively cheaper and clean hotel in the area, with some room renovations done and new simple furniture. but bed isn't comfortable. they have free breakfast with very few selections without fruits provided. location is good, close to shopping and parks.
It was not an entirely pleasant experience. Although the rooms are a good size, they lack a lot of lighting and especially drawers for storing clothes. It only has a not very functional table which does not help to store clothes. The worst experience is in the corridors as they smell very bad, mainly of cigarettes and other unpleasant odors. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom functional, however I would not return to this hotel, especially since there is so much to offer in the city.
The lobby and hallways were not clean, stained and dark. On the web page is says Hairdryers in each room. Our room didn't have, so called, the front desk with my personal cell, as no phone in rooms now, The Front Desk guy said they have no hair dryers on the property !////
