Dagwoods has two locations in the neighboring towns of dover and new Philadelphia. The dover store is older and a bit run down and has atrocious parking. The new phila store occupies a spiffy, modern building with plenty of seating and good parking. The food is the same at both locations. Dagwoods has some amazing soups, always 2 on offer and usually of the comfort variety; no quinoa mushroom whatever to be found here. Soups are hearty, often cheesy, usually loaded with meat, always great. They do have a deli that can turn out a wide assortment of sandwiches made to order, always present staples like veggie pizza, ho ho cake, Mac and cheese, roasted red skins, and tasty hearty salads. In addition, they serve 2 different specials every day, again usually of the comfort food variety. Everything at Dagwoods is made from scratch, including their bread. Prices are reasonable, the food is consistently good, it's a big local lunch fave with locals.
