We have walked past the hotel before but never considered going in, until I saw other reviews. We were in Sheringham on a very hot Saturday in Carnival week, so were looking for somewhere to eat where you didn't need a machete to get through the crowds and decided to try the Burlington.
We had a window table with a beautiful sea view in a quiet restaurant with lots of space and friendly helpful staff. The food was plentiful and tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it and intend it to be our eaterie of choice whenever we are in Sheringham again. It was VERY reasonably priced, and I was amazed that I was charged less that £3 for a single glass of wine - most places charge close to a fiver.
Good idea to book for week-ends - we couldn't get in the first night we wanted.

We went to Sunday lunch with family at this hotel , and If you go and get one of the tables facing the sea , you would be hard pushed to beat the view anywhere !!!! The food was good and for the price great value, the staff were very friendly and were very attentive .

We had taken a long walk from Sheringham to Weybourne and back and arrived back in Sheringham at 1.30pm 20/10/13. Tried to get lunch at the hotel at 1.35pm. Told by barman we were too late. Only one table occupied in the dining room. How can you run a place like this these days? Found good food and welcome at The Two Lifeboats just along the promenade.

I have stayed at the Burlington several times now on my visits back to UK. Staying at the Burlington is a wonderful trip back down memory lane, and we should be very grateful to Steve for bringing the place back to life. For those of us who remember it all boarded up and under threat of demolition, it's so good to experience the place with new life breathed into it. Steve is the life and soul of the place with his cheerful personality and electrifying laugh, and all the staff are so pleasant and helpful. The rooms are extremely clean and the food is first class. Breakfasts will keep you going all day! There can't be too many hotels with a more strategic position on the seafront than the Burlington. This place exudes warmth and good old-fashioned comfort. If you haven't stayed there yet, I strongly recommend you do so.

Booked lunch for a family visit and it was a very enjoyable experience. The table linen was clean and with lots of room for 6 of us. The food was hot and the portions excellent value for money. All the staff - front desk, bar and dining room - were friendly and made us most welcome. We will definitely return.
