Have been coming here since I was a very young lad. Always a classic favourite, has really upped its game lately - the grub is first rate for the area, can compete with most pubs now on that front, and makes up any difference with its charm. Lovely new conservatory, will come in handy this summer. Fire always roaring. Staff very friendly. Well worth the travel. Well done!

Stayed for a Sunday night in Winter as we wanted a location near the coast and had been hear before for a drink. We had one of the rooms in the main building and it was in very good condition and very comfortable. We ate there in the evening and had a good dinner and relaxing time, place was warm with the log burner and we were not rushed and able to take our time ready and looking at photos from the day. Breakfast in the morning was also good.

The conservatory was in need of a lot of TLC but I see that they have replaced that in the last month which is good news, definitely worth a visit.

It is close to Stiffkey Stores which are well worth a visit as well.

Room Tip: Room in the main building well worth it

Staying here again on a terrific deal, £230 for three nights inc their delicious breakfasts. We love the Red Lion for its super friendly attentive fun staff, lovely clean room with balcony and gorgeous views, and splendid evening meals with local beer, great gin and log fire. Happy guests. We can even bring the dog. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in north Norfolk. The Red Lion is simply excellent value. We will be back! Thank you.

Good food and local ale. Clean tidy rooms. Sensible prices and handy location to investigate the coastline. The menu showcased good local produce and there was plenty of choice. The staff were helpful.

Really good value stay at the Red Lion in November 2017.
Great atmosphere in the pub, good breakfast, comfortable beds.
Superb bar staff who put up with our giggles.
Food very good and not expensive.
Stiffkey is in a good location for walking and visiting local beaches and sites.
Highly recommended.
