This place itself was very nice. It's definitely more of a fish restaurant so if you don't eat fish then you might have less options. It is also very expensive in comparison to some other places you eat. It's about 14 pounds for an average size plate. But the food is very good and done well so it depends on what you can tolerate as to where you draw the line. For us the service was attentive but slow. It took us quite some time to get our food and we had a young child but luckily she's well behaved and didn't get too impatient. A fish we recommend is the ribs and the sticky toffee pudding. I don't really recommend the pork chop. Rather bland. But the chips they do are nice.

Average for the price. If they lowered the price then I would have been a lot happier for what I actually got.

This pub has an amazing garden which overlooks the estuary out towards Southwold and Walberswick. There are walks connecting the pub garden to other villages and places. The menu is generous in it's options and the food really great. It has a lovely pub area with open fires and sofas, a proper restaurant area and seating outside. It also has ducks and goats in enclosures. Just a great place. You can even stay overnight if you want. I haven't don ethics so can't rate the room s but know they serve food from 8am. Adnams beers as well as others - delicious!

We called in for lunch today and sat outside in glorious sunshine. There was a good choice on the menu and a very good selection of ales. It was very busy (Thursday lunchtime) and I would suggest booking to be on the safe side. We were in at 12.30 and so our order came out quickly. The food was excellent. I later heard the staff saying there was a 30 minute delay and every table was taken. We had an excellent lunch and I would be very happy to return.

The White Hart has a welcoming warmth on cold days and has a great specials board but for real indulgence try the iffits platter - a choice of several mouthwatering delicacies served on a giant wooden board. Dog friendly in the bar area and good parking

We have driven past this pub on a few occasions and it looked very inviting so 6 of us visited for sunday lunch. We did book in advance and when we arrived we could see that it was pretty packed, especially outside. The menu looked very good with a good selection and a huge choice, if a bit expensive for a pub.

The starters took a while to arrive and were just ok. However, the mains took forever to arrive, were small portions and there was very few veg (which we had to ask them to bring as they seemed to have forgot). The local roast pork was a big chop, potatoes were seriously hard on the outside (so much so that you couldn't cut into them and had clearly been left for ages and reheated!), and it was all just about luke warm. One of our party ordered the fillet steak which didn't arrive with the 5 other dinners, the waitress said that there had been a "problem in the kitchen" and they were recooking the steak. It finally arrived after we had all finished our dinner and it was about 1cm thick & about 6cm wide and as cremated as it could possibly get (they offered it free to us before we even had time to complain!). Puddings were ok but nothing fancy.

What was really frustrating though is that there were hardly any staff, and the ones that were there really didn't care what was going on. There were complaints from a few tables concerning the wait and then the food that they received. It also seemed that the staff were more bothered about the huge amount of people sitting outside and getting the food to them, rather than serving those that had booked.

Perhaps winter would be a better time to go when it wouldn't be so packed outside. This pub definitely seems to be a victim of its own success and needs to maybe shrink the huge menu and not take so many bookings, or tell those who just turn up on the day that they are fully booked for lunch, instead of being greedy to make more money.
