“Home from Home”
Reviewed 17 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed in Alexandra place for a long weekend in February. There were 2 adults and 2 children. The first impressions as you opened the gate to the driveway were impressive and the house did not disappoint. The house was lovely and warm as we walked through the door. The house was spotless and there was everything you needed for a relaxing break. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge as well as tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen.
I could not fault the house. It was perfect :-) .All the facilities and equipment was first class.
The location was also ideal.Around a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach. There was also a local shop within 100 yards of the house if supplies were needed.
I would recommend this house to anybody and cannot wait to get back !!.
Thank you Nathan & Sue :-)

“Such a relaxing place to stay. It was a great base for a great holiday”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The house really was a 'home from home' for a week and it gave a great base to explore a beautiful part of the country that we had never been to before. Locally we enjoyed crabbing and the beach in Southwold especially. There are a couple of lovely places within walking distance, The Bell Inn or the Anchor to eat or have a drink. The house really benefits from having all the mod cons and is beautifully decorated and presented throughout. We hope that we will be able to make a return visit in the future

“Excellent spacious house, ideally situated in a lovely village.”
Reviewed 13 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The house was ideally situated in the lovely village, with a short walk to beach and ferry. Tastefully decorated and furnished with a fully equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms, and bathroom with an excellent power shower. Very clean. Good sized garden and patio area with garden furniture. Quiet, private, safe location with good parking space. Sufficient amenities in village with two good pubs.We had no complaints at all and would return again without hesitation.

“Best Walberswick house we've stayed in”
Reviewed 7 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Despite the age range of our group (we had our son's family with us, including a babe in arms) there were facilities for everyone. Most of the suggestions made by earlier guests had been taken care of which made for a safe, comfortable stay. The beds and chairs were all of excellent quality and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were good too, with everything brand new. We liked the seclusion - the drive is gated - and the feeling of space round the house, with its good sized garden. An extra bonus was the new delicatessen at the end of the drive, together with the village shop, not to mention the two local pubs (and others not far away!) so we were spoilt for choice. There are various easy walks - into Southwold, taking the rowing boat ferry or crossing the Bailey Bridge along Palmers Lane - also across the marshes, to the beach or onto the common. The grandchildren loved the adventure playground hidden away there.
We'd recommend the Adnams Brewery Tour, but don't drive to it!
We've been coming to Walberswick as a family for nearly 30 years now and this is one of the best houses ever!
