“Second Stay-Still Lovely”

Our second visit to Paddlers this year and just as good as the first. The accommodation is so clean and comfortable with loads of little extra bits like the very generous welcome basket. We came as last time time to spend time with friends and traveled a little more around the Sussex area this time.
I would say to anyone wanting to explore come and stay here you will not regret it.
Thank you again to Diane and Simon see you next year.

“JUST WHAT WE WANTED”
Reviewed 19 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We enjoyed our stay at Paddlers as it was near to the shops and sea. Also being in the upper age bracket we did not want to do too much walking. Paddlers is very comfortable and clean with everything you need. We had a warm welcome from Diane and Simon and it was nice to know we could contact them at anytime if we needed anything. We also enjoyed all the extras which were left for us especially the Goody Bar and breakfast items.

“A little gem by the seaside”
Reviewed 5 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We have just returned from a week at Paddlers. The apartment is located about two minutes walk from the beach and the same to De La Warr Pavillion. The actual parade of units in which its located is a bit tired and Paddlers stands out as the only one that has been given love and attention. The owners are hoping to own others and lift the parade and we hope they are successful. The inside is however exceptional, it is well furnished and has everything a couple or a family could require. Attention to detail and owners who want to do anything to help your stay be enjoyable are the stand out features of this place. Simon and Diane were so friendly and we enjoyed their company both taking our keys and handing them back. The other important element be strolling is the location as you can lock the front door and be strolling on the promendae in minutes, or be perusing the individual shops of Bexhill or simply having a meal and a coffee only metres away. Parking is ok with 2 hours free on nearby streets between 8am and 6pm and free 24 hours a short distance away beyond the war memorial.

We explored East Sussex and this was a superb base to do so. I was born in Bexhill and left aged 10 so was coming back 31 years later and nothing much has changed but thats a compliment not a complaint.

If you want to have a self catering base in Bexhill close to amenities, close to the beach, with owners who have a passion for delivering a high quality product then Paddlers is for you. Suitable for all types of guests.

Thank you for such a nice and friendly review. We are so pleased your holiday was a successful return to Bexhill after so many years, and I'm sure it must have been fun showing your family around your childhood places. Even though Bexhill promenade and parks have been regenerated they have kept their wonderful timeless quality.
Thanks again

“Little Gem”
Reviewed 20 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We loved this place.
We come to Bexhill to meet up with friends and usually stay in a lovely B&B however this trip we wanted a bit more personal space so booked Paddlers. We were not disappointed. The owners met us to give us keys and show us all the amenities. The place is newly decorated and has everything you need for a self catering stay although there are some lovely restaurants a very short stroll away. Diane and Simon have thought of everything and start your time off with a welcome basket of lovely stuff inc ingredients for our first breakfast. The bathroom is stocked with lovely products and fresh soft towels and the bed was really comfy.
There is a small balcony leading of the bedroom and although it does not have a sea view it is a lovely little sun trap and place to enjoy a glass or two of wine before dinner!
We had a great time and did not want to leave. We will be back for sure.
Thank you Diane and Simon for all the little extras that really add up.

“comfortable, well equipped and a great location”
Reviewed 3 May 2013 for a stay in March 2013

I stayed here for the weekend and found it a nice location for a break, with Simon, the co-owner giving a friendly welcome.

It's nicely decorated throughout and has all the comforts of home including a really well equipped kitchen and good wi-fi connection.

The beach is only a few seconds walk around the corner, which was great for seafront walks, even in our wintery so called spring this year !

I really liked the generous selection of teas, coffees and biscuit packets left for us and the free welcome pack with milk, eggs, etc made for a nice, lazy start to Saturday.

It was also good to be right in "1066 country" to visit the battle site and drive around the countryside.

There is also a museum in the town itself, about it's history, which was a quirky mixture of stuff, but really interesting.

A good selection of restaurants and cafe's around and on the first night had really nice fish and chips from the place across the road from the property.

For self caterers there are big supermarkets on the edge of town, but also one right near the station, only 5 mins walk away.

I've already started recommending this to anyone wanting a seaside break and would stay definitely stay there again myself.
