Description: A family friendly pub restaurant that serves locally sourced, fresh to order meals. We cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan dietary needs. Dogs are welcome in the bar area. We also run a two course senior citizen menu at £9.75 alongside our main and child's menu every day. We have a function room available to hire. Restaurant opening hours are Monday to Saturday 12-2 and 6-8 and Sunday 12-6. We highly recommend booking where possible.

On entering the place the person seating people just stood at the bar and had no intention of welcoming me. A very poor welcome.
I eventually sat at a table. Menus are laminated, two separate pages, no drink or wine list. I was asked what I would like and asked for the choice of red wine. I was told "Merlot, that's it". This is when I should have left!
I ordered the fried brie and roast beef, asking for the beef as rare as possible.
The brie was to be served with crusty bread. It arrived with 4 quarters of buttered brown bread. The salad with it was poor.
When the roast beef arrived it was unbelievably overcooked and flooded in nondescript gravy. Veg overcooked, roast potatoes not cooked enough. Yorkshire not cooked enough.
This place caters for an old customer who is not concerned with quality of service or food. The atmosphere and decoration is depressing and like an old people's institution.
Think carefully before coming here. I'd never go again under any circumstances.

very good food, very reasonable prices and helpful staff we were the last to leave and they were obviously closing but did not rush us at all. We had the "Pensioner" deal which gave us plenty of choices and we could also add a dessert at an extra cost, which again was very reasonable. Will definitely be back in the future.

Excellent curry in an old railway station that has been converted into a superb restaurant - excellent service and nothing was to much trouble.

Great meal at West Station, plenty of fresh tasty food, loved the salmon sizzler. Friends had the prawn sizzler, chicken sizzler and roast dinner. Home made sponge pud to follow. Great, friendly service.
