Came here for my other half’s birthday, I would book well in advance as the only table available for us was 9:30pm but we arrived at 9 and went up to the cocktail bar for a drink. Lovely atmosphere up there.
Cocktails are between £10-14 but I find this to be quite normal in London and surrounding areas, especially at a more upmarket establishment.

Food was great and fairly fast, plates and glasses were cleared quickly after finishing and there was not a big gap between courses.
Bill came to £80 for both of us, including starters, mains and 2 drinks each.
Nice service and great food, if you’re conscious of prices it may not be for you but I think it’s worth the experience.

First time at the Fat Turk & no-one in our party of seven had a bad work to say , atmosphere (10) decor (10) staff (10) food (10). These are scores out of 10. A loverly meet & greet on arrival, seating & initial drinks order nicely timed , this carried through the whole meal . A big thanks to all the staff, it’s a safe bet we will return.

Arrived at 7:30 on Saturday for a 7:45 table which we had been allotted for 90 minutes.
As soon as we sat down we were given menus and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for time to look at the drinks menu and a short time later was asked again.
We also were asked for our choices on the menu and ordered a dish each.
I was then shocked to receive our main courses within less than 5 minutes. I expect these had been partially precooked as it could not have been possible to cook in the time. Mine was cold .I almost sent them back but the restaurant was busy and I did not want to make a scene. We had been in the restaurant 15 minutes at this stage.

By 8pm we had been requested 3 times for our dessert choice and having used slowing tactics ( both going to toilet etc) we gave up and ordered.

Overall we spent £90 including tip on a meal that lasted less than 45 minutes. This is like a fast food restaurant where they just want a constant turnover of customers. We will not return.

We lucky people were taken to the FT as a pre Mother’s Day treat as we couldn’t be there on Sunday so we turned up at 3.30 Saturday afternoon and the car park was full the restaurant too which is always a great sign, the rich and the well todo of Essex were all chowing down on some fantastic Turkish Mezze chicken and lamb dishes ..
We were shown to our table the first thing to strike was the decor very nice and the open cooking area .. the place looked if had cost a pretty penny to put together .. I’ve also been told that that ladies toilets are also worth the hike up the stairs for a visit always a great sign ... nice toilets ..,
Right the food and wine .. we ordered a £35 bottle of Argentinian Malbec .. well 2 .. ‘‘twas lovely and smooth and went exceptionally well with the food .. between the 4 of us we ordered 5 mezze dishes hummus taramasalata lambs liver(wow!) feta in wrapped filo and aubergine and potato’s they came with a little accomplishment plus some warm cut up bread .. delicious.
Mains the lamb cutlets pizola again so tender and tasty .. lamb shish as good as it gets and a shared surf and turk chicken and lamb shish calamari prawn and a lamb cutlet .... if you’re hungry and skip starters you might manage it by yourself ! This also came with a trio of dips .. all was polished off ... yummy!
We skipped desserts but two espresso martinis were ordered plus two earl grey teas ... and may I say this was the best food that we’ve had since coming back from South Africa ...so we can thoroughly recommend this establishment ... the bill just shy of £200.... if you knock of the wine and martinis £100 for the food which ain’t bad ...GO PEOPLE TRY IT !
