If you want fantastic fish and chips then this cannot be bettered. Or should I say battered? The selection is amazing - starters, deserts and wine or beer. But with such fine fish, that is the real reason to come here!

Before going to the Palace Theatre we come here to have something to eat. Sat downstairs in the Restaurant which was waitress service. Food was hot and tasty but we had to watch what we ordered as some things on the menu was quite pricey.
Drinks were served from a can with a glass given. A very basic Traditional Fish and Chip shop but with top fish restaurant prices.
Would have been better if not so expensive really.

We arrived early in Southend for an evening at the theatre. Oldhams had been recommended and as it is just across the road from the Palace Theatre we decided to go in. Its a busy fish bar, both for take away and sit down. We waited about five minutes for a table and were quickly seated by a delightful waitress. The food was delicious, fresh, large portions and nicely presented; we were all full at the end. I thought it was slightly overpriced, but overall you get what you pay for; recommended.
