Went a few years ago when on holiday in the area, and had a steak which was excellent followed by a sticky toffee pudding which was also very nice.

The pub had good beers on tap and was very nice inside. Recommend booking ahead as we tried to go later in the week again but they were full

We booked a pre-Christmas family lunch for 5 at 1 p.m. on a midweek day, but, because of a car breakdown, had to call on the day and move it back to 2.30. 3 of us didn't arrive until about 2.40 and food finishes at 3.00! We couldn't have had a better welcome or service. We were told to take our time and didn't get out until about 5.30 p.m. The food - I had the pink lamb, my better half a steak - was very good and my creme brulee also made me look forward to our next visit. Worth the trip.

We were invited here by friends. The host was terrific, friendly and efficient on what was a very very busy night. The place was packed! However, the food was very good and the table service could not be faulted.

I have eaten at the Tram twice this week- once with friends and again at our staff dinner of 21 people. Both times the choice of food and the quality of the meals were excellent. There are interesting menus and each meal has little touches which make them a bit special. The service is excellent- our waitress was delightful and attentive. The pub is warm and welcoming- thank you.

A group of 13 of us went for a Christmas meal here. As always the greeting was friendly and welcoming. Mark and Kerry really make such an effort to make people feel welcome and at ease. The food was, as always, excellent and the gluten free member of the crowd (me!) was catered for with no fuss at all. We all had a thoroughly great evening.

In the Hay area this is one of the places that most of the locals will tell you is good. It's where we feel we can rely on excellent food and a friendly atmosphere.
