This is the second time I have stayed at The Barr, and I cannot recommend it more highly. I first stayed in the yellow (twin) room in 2014 when I visited with a friend and was excited to stay in the blue room (queen) recently. I even recommended The Barr to my parents, who will be staying there in a few months time.
Situated in a picturesque corner of England, the gorgeous Tudor house could not be more perfect for a country stay. It's close to plenty of attractions (we visited nearby Hay-on-Wye, Ludlow and Tintern Abbey). The house is very comfortable and the extensive garden/deck is perfect for relaxing with a quiet drink. Tim and Ruth are the most gracious and welcoming hosts, they clearly enjoy having guests. Beware if you are on a diet, Ruth's incredible cooking makes it hard to refuse a second serve. Do yourself a favour and experience the hospitality of The Barr.More
