Attraction details
Reviewed 24 October 2014

Northwood Park is a public park situated high above Cowes with views of the sea.
Open daily throughout the year. In the care of IOW council.
The principal building is the victoriain grade 2 listed "Great House" created 1837 - 1844.

Husband and I, plus our well behaved, well traveled dog spent a while here when we visited the IOW in September.
The park had plenty of grounds(26-acre) .
tennis courts, pitch and put, toilets.
Refreshments

A delightful park near Cowes. Plenty of time to sit, read a book, admire the sea view and walk around the paths.

Bring a camera and picnic.
Oh! and walking shoes.

Northwood Park is a large public park originally developed by the Ward family in 1817.
The landscape park is the now care of Isle of Wight council.
Free to walk around and dog friendly. The nearby car park is £1 for an hour.

A large house known as Bellevue sits in the grounds. Landscaped gardens with beautiful flower beds.
Tennis courts, Pitch and Putt , childrens play area and toilets.

Large grass area for walking our dog, shrubs and trees.
Plenty of park benches with views over solent.
We spent a pleasant hour in the park, walking around, meeting other dog owners doing the same.
A public park, open daily all year.Well kept, clean and well tended gardens.
