I had expected a good hike to this sculpture, but it turns out it is only a short stony footpath away from a small car parking area. The sculpture is interesting to look at and the construction of metal tubes really does have the shape of a tree that has bent in the winds. The idea is that the wind blows through the tubes and plays tunes, but on this reasonably blowy afternoon we heard only minimal tones coming from the structure. We really enjoyed being there though, especially as (with the biting cold) there was no one else there at the time. The views across the landscape were amazing and we would definitely like to go back on a very windy day to hear it ringing and singing.
