We were suprised that there was no charge to vst the HAPPA horse sanctuary although there were plenty of donation boxes around to support this valuabl charity. We had a 5 year old with us and she enjoyed the egg hunt and the play area.
The food n the restaurant we really good - can recommend the cheese and onion pie.

Hi Elaine

Many thanks for the review.

It's great to know you enjoyed your visit and appreciated the work we do to re-home the equine in our care. Whilst we are free to visit, the donations we receive go a long way to providing the care and attention the horses and ponies need.

We look forward to seeing you again soon

We visited HAPPA for the first time as a family with myself, my wife and children aged 3, 8 and 10.

There was an Easter clue finding hunt which kept all the children happy, a challenge to find a rock with the prize of an Easter egg and of course lots of chances for the kids to meet and interact with the ponies and horses at the farm.

We all really enjoyed the experience and finished it off with a bite to eat at the cafe there. Food and service was great with reasonable prices for 5 of us.

There's also a children's playground and plenty of parking.

A must visit for families with children if you are close to Burnley.

Best of all...it is free!

Thank Gary K

Hi Gary

Thank you for leaving a review. We're glad you enjoyed our Easter activities and the food in The Scullery.

We're planning lots more family activities for the coming months, especially the Summer holidays, so keep an eye out for details on the website and Facebook. There'll be many more opportunities for the kids to enjoy the farm and learn, and, of course, it's a great excuse to pay another visit to the cafe!

We look forward to seeing you again very soon

We have been at lunch and night time and enjoyed both

Steaks were super, cooked just to our liking- the chips were delicious and hot!

Hi Tracie

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It's fantastic to know you enjoyed one of our monthly evening events.

Whilst we don't normally open in the evenings, we like to put on something a little special every now again. Working with our usual local suppliers, it is an opportunity for our chefs to demonstrate their skills and creativity.

We are currently taking bookings for the next one on Wednesday 9th May and details of our further events can be found on the website and Facebook.

We look forward to seeing you again soon

A great place to visit. We visited this past weekend it was snowing and freezing cold outside but this did not dampen our experience. Such a worthy cause, and a great place for kids to learn and enjoy themselves. The on-site cafe food is great too. Will be back again soon, and looking forward to being there in the warmer weather.
