If you like real ale or even an eclectic range of craft keg beers then this is the place for you. Just beer, dogs & good company. Spent a weeks holiday in Knaresborough a good few years ago, Could be back in the late 70s. Couldn't remember this but thought this was just the sort of place to attract me. All is not quite what it seems. As a pub Blind Jacks is quite recent. I did know when it opened but I can't remember now. I think it was originally an offshoot of Roosters Brewery which makes it about 25 years old. But the building is genuinely old and the pub is excellent however long its been open

Popped in here for a drink on our last night in Knaresborough and what a find it was, not at all what we expected. Two very bijou rooms make up the downstairs which are jam packed with character with dim corners and ancient looking wooden tables. You can well imagine historic conspiracies being hatched here! There is a good selection of ales, wines and notably gins. Certainly not a cheap place but my Sauvignon Blanc was delicious and the atmosphere was well worth it. We didn't realise there was an upstairs until a fairly large party of chaps went up the narrow stairs. These room are equally characterful. The young couple who own this pub are very welcoming & we had the pleasure of meeting the resident German Shepherd dog - a lovely friendly lad.

Got to say apart from the landlord bollocks this lad has passion enthusiasm and definetly the right products to tickle my taste buds! Candle as a fire was funny, advice.... step back and feel not just dictate. You keep your stock as good as I've seen. If your in knaresborough and want quality then this is the place to be! Yeah man let the arguments begin lol

The new owners are a lovely, hardworking and charming young couple who have breathed new life into the place! The beer range both keg and cask is inspired and the wine some of the best in town. We enjoy regular visits whenever time allows and would highly recommend to friends near and far. Bravo, a pleasure to be a regular!!!
