“Wow!!”
Reviewed 18 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

What an absolutely beautiful cottage! Lovely kitchen, has everything you need, even delicious home made scones on arrival, thank you Kate. Spotlessly clean modern bathroom with large walk in shower and heated towel rail. Exposed beams and underfloor hearing in every room (apart from bathroom which has the heated towel rail). Stunning views across the valley. The charming log burner (supplied with plenty of logs) in the living room was a delight on the cold January evenings/nights we stayed. Kate, the owner is lovely. She even showed us round her other cottage she rents out. We will definitely be visiting again. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Wow. What a fantastic place.ideal location for a nearby wedding at Woodhill Hall. Literally on the doorstep.. Everything was fab, and Kate the owner was so helpful before and during the stay. We stayed with my parents who have mobility issues and this was perfect for them as virtually all on one level. My sister and family stayed at The Granary and were equally impressed. We would fully recommend these beautiful cottages and will definitely return. Thank you

“Just stunning”
Reviewed 6 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

We have just returned home from this stunning holiday home after two nights with our daughters, we booked it to attend a family wedding in the area and how lucky we were to find this little Gem of a cottage.. its done to such a high speck and has everything and more that would you ever need for your stay... and the extras just add to the lovelyness... flowers on the table and home made cupcakes ( luckly my dress still did up for the wedding!)
Our girls loved all the games and puzzles and played like children should and used the very good and free wifi very little!
Kate the owner was wonderful from the day we booked our stay till the day we left.
We can not praise this place and its owner enough and are looking forward to going back one day soon.

“Excellent cottage in great location”
Reviewed 26 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

This is an excellent cottage - well designed, clean, warm and stylish with uninterupted views from the lounge out towards Otterburn and hills surrounding. It's in a great location with Kielder Lake and forest, several NT houses and Hadrians Wall all easily accessible and within half an hour's drive or so. We really enjoyed our week at the cottage and in the Kielder area and would definitely stay here again.

“Absolutely lovely cottage ”
Reviewed 29 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We had a very relaxing two weeks at the Hemmel, at Old Town Farm in Otterburn. The cottage is lovely, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well proportioned and as a family of four it was plenty big enough.

Kate, the owner is on hand if you need anything and also has a massage business on site which was amazing and very relaxing! I would wholeheartedly recommend the hot stone massage.

The gardens are really delightful and the back garden was fully enclosed and ideal for our dog. The vistas from the cottage and garden were lovely towards Otterburn and over to the hills and the Otterburn ranges.

We had a great holiday visiting Northumberland and all it has to offer. We would definitely stay here again should we come back to the area. We left chilled, relaxed and happy after our holiday.

Thank you so much. I am so happy that your family (and sweet little dog) enjoyed your stay here at Old Town. Northumberland has so much to offer and you certainly visited plenty of it, not to mention its fantastic beaches! Would love to have you stay again and thanks for mentioning the relaxing massage. It was a pleasure
