We took our grandson with us to the museum. He was intrigued by the equipment and enjoyed the history and displays. It's a good place to visit for young and old alike.

It's hard to tell from the outside looking in, but this museum is filled with hours and hours of artifacts. The founder MrMotts was there the day my son and I visited and he told the amazing story of starting this museum with just civil war artifacts but how over time and continued donations of exploded into a full-fledge military museum with his collection dating back hundreds of years to present. My son is 9 and even his attention was captured. It's important for people today to take time to appreciate what is so hard (almost impossible) for us to comprehend. Most of us have never had to fear for our freedom and safety and this reminds you how volatile history was and how lucky we truly are.

This museum is a little off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. They have a number of excellent items dating from the revolutionary war all the way through desert storm. There are also some larger items that can be viewed outside the museum, tanks, planes, etc.
We took our time and viewed as much as we could and still could have spent hours more reading all the detail.

My wife and I took our 15 year old son, who is somewhat of a history buff, and we really enjoyed the museum. Many interesting pieces from the civil war and up. Fred, a volunteer, was full of knowledge and stories and he really added an intimate view to some of the displays. I would recommend this museum to any war or history buff.

I found this place on trip advisor thinking it would be a small town building off the beaten path with a few artifacts and a tank in the back. As it turns out it has thousands of artifacts from as far back as pre-colonial America. They have 4 tanks, two helos, 4 artillery guns. But the crowning jewels of this museum are the Fire truck and police cars from Ground Zero on 9/11, and a resident WWII veteran who was aboard the USS Detroit and survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. I plan on going back when the 9/11 exhibit is finished
