We stayed here last week and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodation and the food. We were bed breakfast and evening meal. It was fabulous we stayed in a courtyard room which was quite and well furnished. The breakfasts and evening meals were superb . The staff were attentive and helpful the lady who served our breakfast and the lady who waited on us for our evening meal were friendly and helpful they made us feel welcome!!!

Visited here on a very rainy Good Friday. Pub full as was restaurant. Wonderful old building with open fire. The food was exceptional, service friendly and efficient and atmosphere spot on. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Met friends here on the way to a weekend away....an excellent choice! A very comprehensive menu and everything we had was delicious. Recommend.

Staying in the Cotswolds for a couple of weeks we did some research on possible venues for lunch. What a find this was!! Not at all surprised it’s won awards, the welcome was warm and friendly on a miserably wet and murky day, as was the lovely log fire!
We chose open sandwiches, one pork with apple sauce and crackling, the other roast beef with horseradish mayonnaise, both came with basket of skinny chips. Beautifully presented and delicious!!
We will certainly return!

Whenever in the area we always call in the King’s Head. It’s a lovely pub that does nice food and we’ve always found the service very good.Popped in today and shared the baked Camembert which was very good and loved the cranberry sauce in the pot.Sat next to the lovely fire and the fabulous fireplace. It can get very busy so well worth booking.Only slight annoyance we had was we arrived at 12.05pm and it was pretty much empty but was told they were pretty full with bookings even though it was empty and there were no reserved signs on some of the tables. It was only when we said we wanted something light and quick they gave us the table by the fire.To be fair we always book if we know we’re going but thought we’d be ok at 12.05pm
