My wife and I together with our dog decided to try this Hotel instead of our usual stay in Builth Wells. Our three night stay was most successful. Although the Hotel was very busy Sunday lunchtime and weekday evenings it was not a problem to us. We were looked after well and received personal attention.
Meals were exceptionally good. Good sized portions and not too fancy which I tend to dislike.
The dog enjoyed freedom to play in the woods without us having to think about other animals (sheep etc) or traffic.
The Hosts were exceptionally friendly and looked after us very well. A Family run Hotel which contributed to a good all round and pleasant atmosphere. We will return.

Room Tip: Room 6 satisfied our requirements. Room 1 was outstanding.

We stayed for one night on our way to Wales. It's a quirky sort of hotel every room is different and it's slightly shabby chic of the rooms is part of its charm. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was good served in the rather narrow breakfast area,. Only downer was that having rung earlier in the day to say we would be a late arrival it would have been nice to warn us about overnight roadworks shutting access to the hotel and s long diversion and being escorted by a highways van was not a great start! On departure the front staff member was down right rude.

We stayed here for 1 night in August and liked it so much we tried to book another night for our return journey but they were full. Not surprising really. The staff were welcoming and on arriving put myself and my wife into the bridal suite, not bad for people in their 60's. The room was very spacious but being out in the country the window was affected by flies. I asked if they had fly killer but none was available though someone went to Oswestry for some. Still window/glass cleaner did the job. Some people might have marked the hotel down but I felt you get flies in the country and they did their best to help.
The evening meal was excellent with us both having the special of a Barnsley chop. Well cooked and very tasty. The restaurant is to be recommended. Breakfast was also well presented. If we are in the area again this will be top of our list to stay.

Stopped overnight at this lovely hotel. Our room was shabby chic style double with shower room. Very quaint. Room was small but perfectly formed with a small low staircase to the modern shower room which was just my style. My parents had a lovely room at the front of the hotel which was much bigger with a full bathroom, very grand, but I still preferred my room. My brother and his wife had a similar room to me but they had a bathroom rather than a shower room, but they preferred my room, although they thought there room was lovely until they saw mine .

The evening meal which we had was nice, this was served in the conference room upstairs, which was the perfect size of our family get together. The staff were really nice and engaging.

One chap looked like Kit Harrington and another like Ed Sheeran .

The hotel is set in lovely grounds.

Breakfast was nice and choice was good.

Thank you.

Lovely hotel without the trappings of a 'corperate' business, a little whimsical maybe, but that adds to its charm. Staff were both friendly and helpful, whilst the bar is well stocked. Breakfast is very good whatever you choose to start the day with.

Room Tip: all rooms have views over the countryside and are well presented. Superb value for money
