The village the people but most the cottage old traditional but modern living facilities great centre for holiday with lots of places to visit within easy reach. while staying in a lovely part of county. The cottage provides a family holiday home with good facilities for children and pets. Comfortable in both dry and wet weather with lots to do even games provided. will definatley book again and would recommend to anyone.

“Perfect quiet country getaway”
Reviewed 4 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The cottage was in a quiet village in the perfect spot to explore the surrounding areas. We visited Minehead on the West somerset railway, drove to Western Supermere, Taunton and a visit to Dunster castle is a must. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could have needed. We had a very comfortable stay and is a place we would like to visit again sometime in the future.

Lovely cottage, home from home. Very quaint but be warned of low doorways! The village was lovely to explore and find the castle ruins with moat and old mill. The Greyhound Inn pub was lovely with a very friendly welcoming landlord. Found a few fossils down at Kilve Beach and enjoyed some local cider at Torre cider Farm in Washford. Two negative points to note, that sadly spoilt things, firstly, parking was advertised as on the road outside the cottage but for the 3 nights we were there we had to park further up the road due to a vehicle already being parked outside, which was an inconvenience for luggage. Secondly, the 'Secret Garden' next door, had a VERY loud sound system playing music sat afternoon and evening which included karaoke. Such a shame for an otherwise peaceful village to enjoy a few days away.

Hi leonie, thank you for your 4* review. I am sorry to hear that a couple of things spoilt your stay, but both were out of my control. I do understand that the lady at the cottage next door had her 40th birthday celebrations during your stay and had a lot of guests staying over the week/weekend which probably attributed to the problem in parking your car outside of the cottage.
Apart from this, I'm glad you had a pleasant stay.
Kind regards
Julie

“Perfect cottage hideaway ”
Reviewed 13 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This cottage is perfect for a family of four (2 adults, a 5 and 7 year old) and a dog. It is very cosy and has so much charm. It has been tastefully decorated and is obviously well cared for. Best of all we could bring our dog with us. The owners provide a welcome pack and even Easter eggs for the children. Would recommend one hundred per cent. This is a perfect location to tour Somerset particularly Kilve beach, Dunster castle and the West Somerset railway.

We stayed for only 4 days not long enough. The cottage is one of the best we have stayed in over the past 20+ years of self catering holidays it's how we like to relax,it was like home from home, nicely decorated cosy and comfortable would like to have used the log fire but it wasn't cold enough, so good in one way. The welcome tray was nice not having to unpack before you could have a cuppa. We really hope we can revisit. Thanks Julie for everything.
