Lovely time at this restaurant on Easter Sunday with the family. Quick and friendly service and the food was good. Pleased to have found somewhere where we didn’t need to book to get a table!

We are here after being recommend to us. The bar was busy with locals but there was not many eating. The bar maid and chef were helpful and polite. There was a nice choice of dishes on the menu and the food was served quickly. Whilst the portion sizes were good, I would not say that this was amazing pub food, it was value for menu food which is ok. The restaurant is nicely decorated and overall we would visit again if traveling passed. There was a nice choice or real ales and ciders on tap too.

I took my son who’s 12 here on spur of moment Tuesday evening. We ordered our food it arrived in good time, I had Steak n Ale pie and my son had a Burger off children’s Menu, the Burger was huge and my son was well impressed he soon polished it off along with his chunky chips. My pie was full of flavour and gravy was so tasty. Service was great young lady was polite and attentive. To my surprise there was an Offer on so my son ate for £1. I will be returning the place is spotless and the decor is so Tastefully done. Well done!

Chose the mason arms after a morning out- 4 adults, 3 kids, because the website stated food served between 12-9 , and many local places were either closed or stopped serving food early. It was about 12.45 when we arrived.

Initially we were pleased. From the outside the place looked great. Inside was warm and welcoming.

Then it went downhill. Had to ask several times for the childrens menu, we had 2 small kids with us, and only got one when the waitress came asking to take our orders 5-10 minutes later.

The order process was slow and yet was muddled, and when the food finally came out a good half hour later the order was wrong. The waitress did apologise and stated that she was new, but i didnt see any other members of staff there but her.

One of the kids meals came out 5 minutes after the rest of the meals and we had to wait for the other adult meal that had been brought out incorrectly as a kods meal. We then barely saw anything of the staff member. There was no customer service. She came and collected a couple of plates about 30 minutes after we had finished eating and asked if we wanted anything else (we ordered some drinks) and then she never came back.

My husband chased this up after 5 minutes, and the drinks came but the piles of plates stayed. The waitress was gone again, behind the bar (there were about 4 other people in the whole place so hardly run off her feet) so i went to the bar to ask for a dessert menu as a couple of our party were still hungry, only to be told the chef had gone home at 2. Good service may have included asking us if any desserts were wanted before this occurred? But that would have involved coming near us at some point.

Apparently the website is wrong, and should say 12-2 & 5-9 for food. But it doesn't.
As we were leaving i saw this information on a board in the car park. If only i could have seen that when i was 2 miles away and checking the times and menus from my phone...

Food wasn't anything special, think we paid around £100.00, no one had starters, or dessert obviously!
