“A relaxing and enjoyable break offering the best of both worlds”
Reviewed 10 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Our first stay at Yew Tree Lodge was enjoyable for myself, my husband and my two children (3 and 16 yrs). The Lodge and grounds offered a bit of peace and tranquillity, whilst not being far from amenities. We all enjoyed the freedom to wander around the lovely well kept gardens, and appreciated the views from the bench in the putting area which look across to Minehead and coast - especially lovely early mornings and evenings. My eldest loved the games room and swings, and both of them enjoyed the opportunity to explore and play hide and seek. The 20 to 30 minute walk (or scooter!) down to Minehead was very pleasurable going through several parked areas. The lodge itself had everything we needed, and during our stay even lots of sun on the veranda. It was safe for a little one, even having a fixing on the veranda gate so she could wander in and out.of the lodge. It was clean and tidy on arrival - and hopefully not too bad on departure! Wifi - good for our eldest.

Many thanks for coming to see us and a pleasure to hear you enjoyed your stay. I presume you did not spot the deer emerging from the woods on the hill above us while sitting on the bench but many do. Please come and see us again. Andrew & Nicola

“Lovely lodges in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a lovely holiday with our two young children. The lodges are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The site has lots of space for children to play outside, whilst also being a lovely location for adults to enjoy.

“bliss”
Reviewed 24 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I had seen these lodges advertised for a while but imagined that they were poor quality versions of caravans. They aren't, they are substantial homes with everything that you could need. Bedrooms felt cosy, the kitchen had everything that you'd have at home, the tv had more channels than we had time to view and broadband was excellent.

They are ideal for bringing an extended family as we had four lodges between 11 of us and it allowed us to be nearby but not on top of each other. We had a series of family emergencies when we were there and it was the open spaces, views, peace, wildlife, well kept gardens and free space for children to run and play that soothed us throughout. In particular, we felt that it was safe to let the children go off and explore the garden and they made friends with another family of similar aged children.

What is wonderful is that this is a country, seaside holiday, with access to a town. Some of our party didn't drive but they soon got to grips with the regular bus that went past the end of the cul de sac.

A highlight was being able to sit on the veranda in the evenings. The phone number of doctors and hospitals and of take aways and restauants on the pin board in our lodge was really useful. If booking again I'd go for Cedar or Pine lodges as I felt that the white painted walls gave a brighter and more modern feel than all wood.

“Beautiful cottages in a magnificent setting”
Reviewed 29 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a beautiful week at Woodcombe lodges. The lodges are spacious, nice and clean and placed in a beautiful and very well kept garden with lawns, flowers and a nine hole putting green besides a washing facilities and a common house with a pool table and table tennis.
It's a nice walk from the cottages to Minehead and the beaches and likewise easy to access Exmoor nationalpark.
