Reviewed 11 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We stayed here for 4 nights in early April and had a wonderful time. The lodge was built last year and has been thoughtfully designed and kitted out with a well stocked pantry, modern kitchen including a coffee machine, built in laundry, a lovely lounge area with great views and a nice fireplace which got plenty of use due to the inclement weather. Our 3 year old also loved the big, big swing outside. It was a wonderful place to get away, relax and watch the wallabies (grey and albinos) out the windows. Bruny Island is a fab island well worth visiting with plenty of history, walks and yummy gourmet foods to tempt the palate. If/when we go back, would definitely stay at the Lodge again.

Liked best: exceptional standard of house - furniture, fittings, quality linen, towels, etc. the ambience. Plenty of room for us all. Having wildlife on your doorstep. Hearing the sea. The swing!
Liked least: no wifi access but aware of this before stay. Access to mezzanine level (childrens play area) was better suited to older children as a steep ladder. However, wasn't a problem as we brought down toys for our 3 year old to play with.
