We enjoyed our dinner at the Port Arthur Motor Inn Restaurant. The menu includes meals with Tasmanian produce, as well as Tasmanian beer and wine. We had a beef and a chicken dish, and both loved the food. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the staff were professional. Food did take quite a while to arrive though. I would definitely eat here again and would be interested to see the views of the historical site during the day.

We dined at this restaurant last week and were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the meal. It was worthy of a fine dining setting. Everything appeared to be homemade from the yummy mustard sauce to the seafood chowder to the apple pie. Thoroughly recommend this!

We ate here because we were guests at the Motor Inn. Meals are well over priced for their quality and despite sending a meal back because it was inedible I was still charged full price for it. So we left poorer and hungry! Wait staff shouldn't need to ask if chewy steak is a bad thing, especially when most of it remains on the plate. We ate here for both nights of our stay and the food quality was consistent across both nights so it isn't as though we caught them on an off night. I'd recommend finding somewhere else to eat.

The fat quoll was closed, and the Stewart Bay restaurant was fully booked. The waitress there suggested this "establishment" as basic but good food. She is wrong.

Arrived and were told the specials, sat down, shown the "water station" (which meant no table service for the water). Had to go to the bar to order drinks, second time at bar, no-one came near the bar for 5 minutes, so I didn't bother.

Food was big serve, but veges were under cooked, beef rib was covered with sticky sweet sauce, chicken parmi was covered in under cooked canned tomatoes and cheese that had barely been melted. Then it was placed OVER the chips, so everything was soggy. Salad was weird, in small bowl with big dob of pasta salad on top. Pasta covered in mayonnaise, which was completely unseasoned, and it was all over the salad underneath, so all was inedible.

Overall avery disappointing meal.

The food here was much better than we expected. Good quality and plenty to eat with good service in a dull dining room
