We stayed for 2 nights in the Victoriana Rose room. It was clean, comfortable and in a lovely setting. The breakfasts were filling and very tasty. We enjoyed sitting on the porches or patios to relax and read and loved the impromptu hay ride one evening with the owner, his grandson and cabin guests. The property is beautiful and the horses, goats, geese, and alpacas were great. The owners are very friendly but do not impede on privacy. The price was good. The only negative was we would have preferred a shower to a bath, but it wasn't a big deal. I will bring our family back someday and stay in a cabin.

My wife and I wanted to get away for our anniversary weekend, and we found the Bear Run Inn through the Hocking Hills website. The Inn and cabins sit on over 600 acres of woodland and meadow, and is absolutley beautiful. We stayed 2 nights in the Victoriana Rose room, and could not have been more pleased! Bud and Marcia are the most gracious hosts, and treated us like family. We would get up and get our coffee and sit outside on the porch and listen to nature (and nothing else!) until breakfast promptly at 9:00. There are hiking trails on the property, and Bud will gladly set up a hayride or buggy ride, weather permitting. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, couples or family, this is the place in the Hocking Hills.

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Run Inn! My husband and I stayed for two nights in the Capiz room. The room was very clean and comfortable and the indoor and outdoor common guest spaces were nice and well-maintained. Bud and Marcia were some of the most welcoming and inviting people I have ever met, and they had plenty of tips and suggestions about the area when we asked. We also took advantage of the area for stargazing, and built a fire near the pond one night which was nice.

Breakfast was great! We had fresh fruit, juice, coffee, pastries, and a hot egg dish each morning. Yum!!

It was easy enough to find but FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS ON THEIR WEBSITE! Both our iPhones and Garmin had trouble. We had fine cell service (Sprint) at the Inn and in the state park, but it was patchy at times while driving between. Otherwise it was very easy to get to all the Hocking Hills trails and places to eat. It also isn't far from the new winery in the area.

Thank you for your generous review. We are most pleased to know that you found your stay wonderful and welcoming. That is just what we want our guests to experience! It is great to hear that you took advantage of our location on a hill for some stargazing. Some of our nights the stars are so bright that it appears you are floating among millions of them. We also appreciate your emphasis on following our directions to find us. We want everyone's trip here to be safe and efficient, without the frustrations of lost GPS signals and cell coverage along the way. Please come visit us again!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary during a recent stay at Bear Run Inn Cabins & Cottages. We stayed in the Sugar Maple cabin and it was very nice.

When we arrived our check in was easy. We had an envelope with cabin information waiting for us. The cabin was very clean and the tv was set to have music playing to welcome us. The furniture was comfortable although it's probably about time for the owners to consider getting a new mattress for the king sized bed as it was just a bit saggy. There is also a nice gas stove that really heats up the cabin, even on the lowest setting.

The cabin has everything you need for your stay - all appliances and all in good working order. The tv had satellite and had plenty of choices. Plus there are a few games and cards available. The kitchen has plates, cups, and silverware for your use but we mostly ate in restaurants. There was also a gas grill available for use but we did not use it this time.

The cabin has a very nice hot tub which we enjoyed on the front porch. The cabin sits back off the road so you do have some seclusion and privacy.

The cabin has an indoor whirlpool tub. The only issue was the hot water heater is evidently just barely large enough to be able to fill the tub with enough hot water to have a hot bath. You can get the water just over all of the jets but that is about it.

Hocking Hills State Park is very nice and the scenery is outstanding. Bear Run also has activities and their own hiking trails available but we were there for a short stay and did not use them - perhaps next time.

We enjoyed a couple of restaurants in the Logan area - Millstone BBQ and Pizza Crossing - both had very good food.

Overall I would highly recommend Bear Run Inn cabins and cottages. We had a great stay.

My boyfriend and I had decided to go away to Hocking Hills for the weekend before Christmas instead of buying one another presents. We got a great deal for the cabin with one of their specials that they had. We picked the Aspen cabin which I would recommend for other couples seeking a romantic getaway. It is a one room cabin with a full bath. The one room made our time in the cabin much more intimate and the gas fireplace was so cozy! The hot tub was off of a deck that was facing a large ravine behind the cabin and was a wonderful view! Especially to enjoy your coffee in the morning. When we walked in the cabin had smelled VERY CLEAN and the cabin itself was also very clean too. They had everything you needed to cook with including a grill. Also, you dont need to bring a wine opener because they have one in the drawrer !
We had Blue Valley massage company come to our cabin and we both got an hour and a half massage- which I highly suggest doing! Go ahead, spend the money, you deserve it and you're worth it :) It was also a convenient 10 minute drive to Logan. It looks out of the way on a map but it really is relatively close and you know by reading TripAdvisor that you are staying at a wonderful place. It was such a memorable weekend for us too since we had gotten engaged at the lower falls at Old Man's cave. We will definetly be back in the future!
