We had a awesome time in McArthur. We saw deer every evening from our cabin. We visited Lake Hope and walked trails there and went to the haunted train tunnel. Sorry, we did not see any ghosts. We ate at the city diner in McArthur, I recommend them, their food was very good. The cabin is small, but very well stocked with cooking items. The cabin is stocked with movies and the cabin and the hot tub were clean and well maintained. We ate at the cabin most of the time. Really enjoyed our stay there.
The cabin was very clean. The beds were also very comfortable and the bedding was clean. You don't need to bring anything except food since the kitchen is fully stocked with the appliances that you need. The pond out front is nice but I am unsure as to if it had fish in it or it was just a waterhole. The hot tub was not as clean as we would have liked for it to have been. The only thing that we did not like was that we thought we had booked a cabin in Hocking Hills which is known for hiking through the parks but in fact it is a 35 to 40 minute drive to the parks. We would probably book a cabin closer to the parks next time but if you are looking for a secluded cabin with nothing to do and don't mind the drive then it would be well worth it to book this cabin. It is very charming
