Description: Harry's Cafe Bar is a delightful cafe full of antiques and character, situated within Yew Tree Barn, a huge Lake District barn, home to WRS Architectural Antiques, Galleries and studios. Take a seat in the stylish quirky cafe and choose from the menu or specials board, where traditional dishes and those with a Harry's CafeBar twist are all made on the premises using local ingredients and beautifully presented.

They seem to have recently expanded and the larger space is even cuter than the smaller one. The soups are not to be missed - all freshly prepared, but it is the rarebit that brings me back over and over. It's not just cheese on toast!!

Thank you for your good review ThatchersBiscuit. You're right, we expanded Harry's cafe in March, and it's been an excellent way of making more people happy with our lovely food and service! And the special rarebit recipe is always popular, we'll always keep it on the menu so you can return for more!

The Welsh Rarebit is as good as ever - tangy and delicious and served with a generous salad garnish. The homemade cakes are just to die for - today's clementine and almond sponge melted in the mouth and was a delight. The enlarged room is comfortable and full of character and tables can be reserved - a good idea at busy times.

I came to Harry's alone a couple of months ago, and ordered a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich that came with a great variety of side salads. The homemade chutneys which were brought to accompany the sandwich were absolutely delicious and a really nice touch! The staff were really friendly and lovely, and the whole atmosphere of the cafe (a sort of homely, rustic chic) is gorgeous.

Wow we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here , not only was the cafe serving great homemade food but we sat outside in an amazing courtyard area, it had different reclaimed items of interest you could walk and look around - wonderful scenery and great gift shop, my son was doing the predator experience nearby and thus was recommended to us to visit, till we could pick him up - it's a treat of s place, do go and visit!!
