If take the train from the Akron Station, be prepared. It is just a small building with no restrooms. There are porta johns that are nasty full. The train ride was ok, way over priced. My small grandkids got about 10 minutes of entertainment out of the 3+ hour ride.

Sorry to say - This train ride was a boring 2 1/2 hr. ride with no view out the window the entire trip (it was after dark) except on arrival to the North Pole, which consisted of a 15 minute view of the lighted Christmas town display, Santa and some elves waving at the passengers in the train. If you were lucky enough to sit on the right side of the train, you could see the display; those on the left side had to stand to catch a glimpse of the lights, otherwise only darkness on that side of the train. You could not de-board the train at any time. The air was stiffling, and seats were cramped with virtually no leg room. We were given a cup of luke warm hot chocolate and a cookie. Entertainment was staff reading a Christmas story, telling jokes and passengers singing Christmas carols. Most kids looked restless and bored. The two stars are for the staff who seemed to enjoy what they were doing. I would never go again, especially at almost $50 per person, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Extremely disappointing and a waste of time and money.

We took our children( 7 & 10) on the Polar Express last night 11/26. We have went on many different Santa rides for the past 7 years in different states but never one that was licensed to do Polar Express.. I had very high hopes for this one... it was very disappointing. The elves in our car did not do a good job interacting or keeping things festive during the ride. After a very boring, monotone reading of the story, they really didn’t do anything else until we arrived at the NP.. there wasn’t any singing on the way there, no music etc.. the hot chocolate and cookies were brought out without any fanfare.. the Hot Chocolate Chef came through before we left the station for one quick verse of the Hot, Hot Song but that was it.. I really expected them to sing it while bringing out the snacks... they had the kids all move to side to see the North Pole but the building right next door to the first sign is a Liquor Store with large neon signs... we all laughed that the elves must have to have a way to stay warm... the visit from Santa was rushed and he was really only able to take a picture with each group and moved on. We sung a few songs on the way back but that was really it. Both girls commented how they enjoyed other trains much more than this one. I really expected much more from this one with it being a licensed Polar Express train....the kids received a golden ticket and we all received a bell.

We took our children on the polar express. What a wonderful day. Yes it was cold but nothing a good coat couldn't handle. My husband and and I are going to take our children again this year. Fabulous thing for families!

We went on the Mr Jingling train ride. We sang Christmas songs and the kids got a magical key. Not a great trip in the rain view-wise, but fun nonetheless. We definitely will go again!
